After 15 years thriving in high\u2011tech sales, Parisa Padidar felt drawn toward a more creative and meaningful path. While her career allowed her to work with prominent software companies and global enterprises, she longed for the freedom to build something personal, something that could tell a story, spark a connection, and bring joy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parisa is the founder and creative force behind Standout Boutique<\/a>, a Vancouver\u2011based jewelry brand dedicated to crafting pieces that feel personal, symbolic, and enduring.  <\/p>\n\n\n

For over 13 years, Standout Boutique has combined dainty, modern designs with bold statement pieces, offering jewelry that transcends adornment to become a reflection of identity and meaning. Her collections are sold through independent local retailers and online, grounded in values of craftsmanship, accessibility, and community. <\/p>\n\n\n

Before launching Standout Boutique, Parisa spent 15 years working in high\u2011tech sales as an account executive with companies such as Sage, SAP, Payfirma, and MediaValet, collaborating with large enterprises including ADT, PepsiCo, and J&J. While she valued the work and the teams she worked alongside, her opportunities to be creative were limited. In 2012, inspired by the arrival of her newborn, Parisa felt a desire for freedom and creative expression, so she decided to take the leap into entrepreneurship. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cI wanted to create jewelry that felt personal, symbolic, and enduring. Not just accessories, but treasures.\u201d<\/em><\/strong> <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

As she continued to grow her business, Parisa recognized the importance of learning from others who had walked the entrepreneurial path before her. She joined the WeBC mentoring program to expand her perspective and strengthen her approach to growth and decision\u2011making. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI was inspired to join the mentoring program because I wanted to learn from experienced entrepreneurs.\u201d<\/em><\/strong> <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Through WeBC\u2019s mentoring program<\/a>, Parisa gained greater confidence in her decisions and learned to trust her vision. With encouragement from her mentor, she explored different approaches to strengthen her problem\u2011solving skills and learn how to navigate challenges. The experience also reinforced the value of collaboration and mentorship, shaping not only how she leads her business but how she continues to grow as an entrepreneur. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q: What\u2019s the biggest lesson you have learned on your entrepreneurial journey?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A: I\u2019ve learned that growth takes patience and persistence; success doesn\u2019t come overnight, but from showing up consistently, adapting to change, and staying true to my creative vision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q: How has the community influenced your business?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A: My community has been at the heart of my business success. Working alongside amazing women entrepreneurs and small boutique owners has not only shaped my business but also inspired me to grow in new directions. Collaborating with them has created opportunities I couldn\u2019t have imagined alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, hiring young students has brought fresh ideas and energy into the business, and it\u2019s been deeply rewarding to support and inspire them, especially when I see them gaining the confidence to start their own paths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMy community\u00a0isn\u2019t\u00a0just part of my\u00a0story;\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0one of the biggest reasons my business has flourished.<\/strong>\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Q: How does Standout Boutique give back?<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A:  We\u2019ve proudly supported organizations such as the Alzheimer’s Society, Cancer Society, Leukemia Society, Spinal Cord Injury BC, Canucks Autism Network, and The Forum through donations of both funds and in-kind products. Additionally, we believe in investing in the future generation, which is why we’ve hired over 40 students in the last 5 years through nonprofit organizations like Venture for Canada and Riipen Level UP, as well as fashion schools like the John Casablancas Institute. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Together, we’re making a difference\u2014one piece of jewelry and one opportunity at a time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q: What is your next step in your entrepreneurship journey?<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A: The next step in my entrepreneurship journey is to expand my brand\u2019s reach while staying true to my handmade roots. I want to bring my jewelry into more boutiques and connect with a wider community online, especially through creative storytelling. I\u2019m also excited to keep mentoring and inspiring young creatives, because building a business isn\u2019t just about growth; it\u2019s about impact. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q: What advice would you give aspiring entrepreneurs?<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A: Trust your vision and don\u2019t be afraid to take the leap, even when it feels risky.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSurround yourself with a supportive community \u2014 mentors, peers, and collaborators \u2014 because they will inspire you, challenge you, and open doors you\u00a0can\u2019t\u00a0see on your own.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

And remember, every step, even the mistakes, teaches you something valuable. Your persistence, creativity, and authenticity are your greatest assets. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
